CLARE TEAL
Clare Teal sings the Great British Songbook
‘The new first lady of Jazz’
INDEPENDENT
Arts theatre favourite Clare Teal returns this Autumn for an evening of toe-tapping, feel-good jazz. With a successful Radio 2 show, TV appearances and numerous best-selling albums to her name including Don’t Talk and Get Happy, Clare Teal is a truly talented and versatile performer.
Her brand new show celebrates the rich jazz history of Britain, covering music from over a huge 80 year period plus some modern classics. Many of the songs featured are regularly assumed to be written by Americans, however, it was often down to our very own home-grown talent that such classic as ‘Try a Little Tenderness’ and ‘Smile’ came about.
Jazz Vocalist of the Year three times running, blessed with a stunning voice, the ability to write songs that promise to be classics and a wonderful warm humor, Clare is a rare commodity - in every way the major star.
