AN ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING PERFORMANCES OF DAME TROTT'S PANTO PALAVER

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Sadly, I am writing to inform you that following the recent Government announcement that Cambridgeshire is to move into Tier 4, we are unable to complete our run of Dame Trott’s Panto Palaver.

This means that our pantomime, Dame Trott’s Panto Palaver, will close following the 3pm performance on Wednesday 24 December. All performances on Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December, through to Sunday 3 January 2021 are now cancelled.

We appreciate this will be disappointing news for everybody and whilst we hope to re-open as soon as possible, we are realistic about the current circumstances and intend to continue to follow Government advice. We will be monitoring the situation closely so please check our website and social media channels regularly for any further updates.

All customers affected by this closure are entitled to a full refund or credit note and will receive an email detailing their options as soon as possible. As the building will be closed from 25 December until further notice, please do not try to call the Box Office or visit the Theatre. Our Box Office will contact all bookers directly from Tuesday 29 December. Thank you in advance for your patience while we work through the high volumes of customer cancellations.

If you have booked for our Christmas Eve performances (11am/3pm), we would very much like you to attend. If, however, you do not feel comfortable attending, for any COVID related reasons, please get in touch by emailing us at [email protected] and we will arrange a full refund.

The level of support for our pantomime has been overwhelming; so many of you have written, telephoned or even stopped me in the street to let me know how much you have enjoyed the show and how safe you have felt during your visit. We are so grateful that we have been able to re-open safely and welcome 5,000 adults and children to enjoy our show this Christmas. I want to publicly thank our wonderful cast, crew, creative team and all the staff at the Theatre who made the show possible. You all have reason to be proud.

Thank you, as ever, for your steadfast support and I hope to see you in the New Year at Cambridge Arts Theatre.

With my very best wishes,

Dave Murphy
