Volunteers' Week 2025!
This week we are celebrating Volunteers' Week 2025! We're missing our volunteers whilst we're closed for redevelopment, but this week Matt and Luna from our Front of House team arranged a special tour of King's College as a thank you for their incredible support throughout the year.
We also asked them about their experiences volunteering, the reasons for giving us their time and the hard work they put in week-in-week-out! Here are some of their thoughts...
'I feel part of a community of likeminded people... Your horizons, knowledge and experiences are expanded and challenged, not just by theatre, but also by your fellow volunteers. It is a privilege and a joy to be a member of the Arts Theatre volunteer team.' (Tania)
'It gives me a sense of purpose... The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, inclusive and fun' (Annabel)
'It is a good feeling that I am doing some worthwhile voluntary work with other friendly volunteers who share my interest in the performing arts.' (David)
'I feel welcomed, valued, respected and nurtured as a member of the team. Nowhere else do I feel so much a part of a likeminded cohort of theatre-lovers.' (Nicole)
'Somehow, putting on that uniform, smiling to welcome the audience, and helping someone choose between mint choc chip or vanilla gives me a real sense of purpose. I feel needed - and more importantly, I don't feel like a foreigner here. It feels like home. Honestly, it is a great joy to be part of this wonderful community.' (Ming)
