We are very excited to welcome the renowned historian Lucy Worsley back to our theatre with A Very British Murder on Sunday 8 August. A treat for all true-crime fans, Lucy will be delving deep into our fascination with murder and how these crimes have been turned into art.
This week, we have welcomed Copenhagen to our stage! Michael Frayn’s brilliant historical retelling centres on the stories of acclaimed physicists, Werner Heisenberg and Niels Bohr and their clandestine meeting in Copenhagen in 1941. Both men were renowned for their superb minds, and for the part they played on either side of the Second World War. On top of this, we also discovered that Heisenberg has links to Cambridgeshire, as he was kept in a safe house in Godmanchester in 1945.

A sure staple in Cambridge Arts Theatre's calendar is our Pantomime Script Read-Through... Every year, to mark the start of rehearsals, the cast, company and theatre staff gather to meet each other and read through the script for the very first time. It's always a fabulous way to get to know the team and to celebrate the start of our magical pantomime. The cast now begin two weeks of intensive rehearsals before Tech Week and the first performance on Thursday 28 November, watch this space!
