In the bicentenary year of Jane Austen’s death, join Dr Lucy Worsley as she delves into the life of the famous and much-loved author.
During the evening, Lucy considers what home meant to Jane and tells the story through the rooms, spaces, possessions and places that mattered to her, as well as dispelling the myth that she was a cynical, lonely spinster. Lucy offers us instead a witty and passionate woman of her time, who refused to settle for anything less than Mr Darcy.
Lucy returns to Cambridge following her 2016 sell-out An Evening of Murder and this special event is the perfect prelude to Lucy’s forthcoming new book, Jane Austen at Home.
